"Fugu" is the Japanese name for the puffer fish, a favourite of
anglers and diners. Improperly prepared, wild fugu can kill
you. Farmed fugu are unlikely to contain the neurotoxin.
Unlikely–but not guaranteed.
Puffer fish are ungainly and eccentric-looking, like subway
cars with fins. When they become concerned, some species
inflate themselves into spiky, inedible footballs.
